Wonder Woman 1984 (also known as WW84: Wonder Woman) is an American superhero movie based on the DC comic character Wonder Woman. It is a sequel to Wonder Woman 2017 and the ninth issue of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by Patty Jenkins, a screenplay co-authored with Geoff Johns and David Callaham, and Johns and Jenkins Jenkins). And Connie Nielsen as the supporting cast. Set in 1984, the film follows Diana to face Maxwell Lord and Cheetah.

Discussion of the sequel began shortly after the release of the first movie in June 2017, and the decision to continue was confirmed the following month. Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to be released in the United States in the form of RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, IMAX, and IMAX 3D in the United States on August 14, 2020.

Gal Gadot, who originally signed three feature films with Wonder Woman, is beyond that. The first film's director, Patty Jenkins, originally signed only one film, and he expressed interest in returning to the director's sequel.  In June 2017, comic writer Geoff Johns revealed in an interview with Variety that he and Jenkins have started to write treatments for the sequel to Wonder Woman. Pre-production will begin in the UK in early December 2017. In the same month, director Patty Jenkins stated that the film would be another great love story.  The film was set to be filmed in the 1980s in April 2018.  Next month, product designer Aline Bonetto (Amélie, Wonder Woman) announced that she will return to the sequel, and won the Academy Award winner Lindy Hemming. She will also return to costume designers.

Post-production

Alexis Wajsbrot is the visual effects supervisor for Framestore.  Jenkins revealed in December 2019 that work on the film was completed six months in advance.

On August 22, 2018, Hans Zimmer was announced as the composer of Wonder Woman 1984, replacing Rupert Greg who staged the first film, Sen Williams. Zimmer has previously scored the first and second movies of the DC Extended Universe, Iron Man and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
