Jerry Hartfield is the producer of the reality show Grave Encounters directed by Lance Preston, a ghost hunter. Hartfield explained that the show was canceled after the crew disappeared for five episodes and introduced the original scenes from the video clips from episodes six and the last. Grave Encounters' staff includes Lance, mystery expert Sasha Parker, surveillance operator Matt White, photographer T.C. Gibson, and the fake Houston Grey. The crew was invited to inspect the abandoned Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital and have been reporting unexplainable phenomena for years. The caretaker of the hospital took them on a day trip and informed them of the history of the hospital, especially a doctor named Arthur Friedkin who performed the hospital's patients before they were killed Unethical experiments and surgery.
