Artemis Fowl Movie

Artemis Fowl is an upcoming American science-fiction adventure movie, adapted from a 2001 novel of the same name by Eoin Colfer and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Screenplay by Conor McPherson and Hamish McColl directed by Kenneth Branagh, film star Ferdia Shaw , Lara McDonnell, Josh Gad, Tamara Anozie, Jun Dench, and Judy Dench (Judi Dench). It is scheduled to be released on May 29, 2020.

Disney's Artemis Fowl adapted from Ioin Colfer's book and followed the ranks of 12-year-old genius Artemis Fowl, who is A descendant of a bunch of crime planners who tried to find his father, he disappeared mysteriously.

Ferdia Shaw plays Artemis Fowl II, a 12-year-old human crime planner with a high level of intelligence.
Lara McDonnell as Holly Short, an 80-year-old elf scout of the LEPrecon.
Josh Gad plays Mulch Diggums (Dwarf), a dwarf who previously worked for Artemis Fowl I and was a source for LEP.

In 2001, plans for an adaptation of the series were announced.  Miramax Films was signed by Lawrence Guterman [4] and signed by Jeff Stockwell to purchase film rights.  In 2003, Colfer stated that a script had been completed and was originally scheduled to be released in the same year, but he doubted whether the play could be realized.  This film has been under development and is assumed to be in development hell until 2011, when Jim Sheridan was reportedly interested in directing the film. 

In July 2013, Walt Disney Pictures announced that Disney and Weinstein would produce a movie by Artemis Fowl, involving the first and second episodes of the series The novel is written by Michael Goldenberg. Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal signed the project as executive producers. 

On September 1, 2015, Variety reported that Kenneth Branagh was hired to direct the film for Disney, and that Irish playwright Conor McPherson was a screenwriter. Judy Hofflund is the executive producer.  Disney announced on September 12, 2017 that the adapted film will be released on August 9, 2019.  In the second month, Disney fired Harvey Weinstein from the film's producer due to a sexual misconduct scandal involving Weinstein, and terminated its production partnership with Weinstein. 

Colfer supports changes in the original material in the film. 

Artemis Fowl Movie casting

According to reports, on September 18, 2017, Judi Dench was negotiating an unspecified role. On December 20, 2017, it was announced that the Irish newcomer and grandson of Robert Shaw were appointed Artemis Fowl II with Dench as commander root, Josh Gad as Mulch Diggums and Lara McDonnell as Captain Holly Short as Anozie as Butler.  Colin Farrell, as part of the actor, was exposed as Artemis Fowl I through the re-release of the second trailer in March 2020.

Author Eoin Colfer will appear. In describing a scene he filmed in Northern Ireland, Colfer said: "I walked through a field with many others. Although I did get it wrong a few times, it was not too strenuous. The only thing they gave The direction is: "Walk through the fields, don't look into the camera. "I must have seen the camera 20 times. I have new respect for the actor."

Artemis Fowl Movie Filming

With major production starting, the remaining casts were announced on March 12, 2018 (including Nikesh Patel as Foaly). The film was shot at Longcross Studios as well as in England, Northern Ireland and Ho Chi Minh City. 


Artemis Fowl Movie release

The film was originally scheduled for release by Walt Disney Studios Film Company on August 9, 2019,  but on May 7, 2019, the film was postponed to May 29, 2020.
